Default Flash drive

When I plug my flash drive into the USB on the PS3, I can't open the files up. I've tried videos (avi file) and photos.

Any idea what is wrong? Does my flash drive need to be formatted in a certain way?

It needs to be formatted as FAT32, and you need videos in VIDEO directory, pictures in PICTURE directory, music in MUSIC directory.

It won't just read them in the first directory.

If your flash drive is over 32GB the option for FAT32 will not appear in windows. Although, I am not sure if you can actually get a flash drive over 32GB.

Browse to the USB drive, click on the "triangle" and chose "display all"

That's it

Make sure you are on the right icon. Music will only show under music, movies only under video.

I've seen them as high as 64GB but that's all... I'm sure 128GB will be here shortly...
