Blu Ray player stopped playing DVDs - Blu-ray Forum

Hi guys.
I have a Sharp BD-HP20 player and I've been using it for blu ray and upconversion like most people. Just last week though, I noticed that it will no longer play DVDs. Whenever I insert one, it will read it, flash a bit (red or blue flash on the screen) and then the screen will go black. The timer on the face starts going up as if it is at a menu or playing the film, but it's not. Blu rays still work fine though. Any suggestions?

Hahah ahh yeah man I intend to do that. Only there's a bunch of great movies that I don't think will be getting blu ray releases in the near future. I've just been DVR'ing them in HD whenever I get the chance because I don't like the wait.
