That was part-drama, it doesn't qualify.

Where is The Dark Knight! jks

Anyways, I liked Die Hard but I wouldn't put it at one, I think either Spider-man 2 or Terminator 2 belong at the top (for me at least) Other than that minor gripe plus M.I III should never be on a best action movie list, it is a good list

Well if Saving Private Ryan is on the list....that's pretty much drama right there.

I was wondering that myself, S.P.R is much of a drama then action. Now, I kinda mad that TDK never made it on the list

Whatever, it still is a good list with some excellent films on it.

It's kind of weird that First Blood Part II makes the list but First Blood didn't.

Also for me I would say:
1. Predator
2. Terminator 2
3. Die Hard

...I don't consider Saving Private Ryan, Gladiator, or The Fugitive action movies.

Default The Dark Knight (2008). Not just action.

The Dark Knight (2008)

The problem is: it's part drama, part action, part thriller, part tragedy, part film-noir, part police procedural. The film is a masterpiece. But it's so varied. It can't... just be an action film. It's an insult to the rest of it: to say that.

With Casino Royale (2006), the action is more prominent and dominant than in TDK. Bond is defined by his action. He is after all... a man of action. Is he not?

(Well, what about Batman. Some might say. Batman is a detective, a scientist, and an inventor as well. Like the film.)

Saving Private Ryan (1998)??? Again the action is the most distinctive thing about it: not a performance. Like Ledger or Eckhart.

Yes... Hanks is great, but what we remember (the most) is how Spielberg changed combat, not the drama. The action made the film known (as a classic). ...Thus, it is it's action, that it's defined. So, it can be on the list. Again I'm not E.W., but in this case. They didn't error by including it.

Ryan is a War film. The war made it successful, not the talk.

I have to disagree with you on this one. To me an action film is when people are going to the theater with the intent to see great action sequences. SPR was all about the story and the characters within the story, and the action was a by-product of moving the story forward. Just my opinion, of course.

Agree with number one, other than that, the list could use some work.
