Default Blu-Ray and center channel issue

Hi all,

I'm a Blu-Noob and have connected my Sony S-350 to Sony STR-K502 (it decodes both DTS and Dolby Digital 5.1). Until I hooked it up to the Blu-Ray player, the 5.1 worked fine. However, now I get no center channel audio. All other channels function fine and when swapping out the speaker, that speaker works fine, so it's not the speaker. I also checked all the connections and even replaced the center channel speaker wire...all for naught. My question is maybe I need to set something within the player? I'm not sure what could be the problem. It worked initially, which makes me think it was a loose connection, but I checked and rechecked all connections. I even swapped out optical cables but the problem persists. It's REALLY annoying because all the effects and music are really loud and the vocal tracks are inaudible. I end up having to keep the TV speaker on and cranked up in order to get some semblance of center channel to go with it, but it creates some echo and such...just doesn't sound good.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Cheers,
Mike
