Default "Thread Crapping - Prices Will Be Lower" Type Posts in Hot Deals Forum

The following is part of the guidelines posted at top of the Hot Deals Forum

Quote:
Do not thread crap or reply if you are not adding anything to the thread. If there is a deal or sale posted that you don't feel is 'hot', then move on and do not post that it sucks or that you will pass on it or that you already have the titles listed. It's unnecessary and it just adds to the general frustration of an already tense area of the forum. This is not a discussion area.
Now, certain posters (and I will not post names because a)there's no need for a personal attack, and b) I think most people know who I'm discussing anyway) have littered many a thread with things like "If you wait prices will be lower," "I will wait on this until Black Friday/Wal-Mart has a $10 or less bin/It's a freebie inside my box of Corn Flakes/etc."

Again, I don't want this to come off as an attack or anything, but I just can't understand why these posts remain why other extraneous Hot Deals posts get removed. As I said above, I think everyone understands that at some point in the future prices on practically every title you can think of will eventually be lower.

It really doesn't matter too much, people are going to want to pay whatever they want despite what anyone says.

I think "thread crapping" (though no one is getting "crapped" on because no individual on this site is losing money) in the hot deals forum has a benefit. Some people may not know what's a good deal or not. I think it can be helpful for someone to come in and say "That was at Wal-mart for $12.99 last week, and it's likely they will have another sale", rather then to not say anything at all. I want to know what a good deal is, or not.

Get my point?

yea but for someone to take the time to post something and for you or any other member to come in there and say, ill wait it will be cheaper is not needed. The same people do it, we know who you are. If you wanna wait til its in the 5.00 bin at Wal-Mart, thats great but keep it to yourself as it adds nothing to the thread.

We all know everything when it first comes out is higher than say 3 months down the road, Its business and demand drives pricing , You dont think a 2008 model car will sell for the same as a 2009? Its simple business and doesnt need posted in every thread
