Blu-ray Player Stopped Working - Sony SDP300 - Display says NO DISC - Blu-ray Forum

Can anyone help - I have a Sony SDP300 that I about 18 months ago and it just stopped working. I can power it on and off but it says no disc when there clearly is a disc loaded and then it shuts off. What can I do? Has anyone had this problem before?

Try unplugging the unit for a minute or so and restarting. If that is no joy, try the reset procedure as detailed in the owners manual. If still no workie, call Sony tech support. Sometimes they can get er done.
