Oh damn, I'm the first reviewer and I have to come out and say it:

I didn't like it.

Hold your horses, you can bash away in a second . I'm not saying it sucked, I mean the way they pulled off the scenes with the sandman are simply the best CG effects I've ever seen. Period. It looks so real .

So what's the flaw? Without giving away any spoilers:

- The pacing. Whenever you think it's about to pick up speed, it slows down again.

- For a love drama it was too superficial

- For a movie with the most expensive special effects shots in movie history it is too cheesy. I mean, what's with the cheering (that's cool for Ghostbusters, but here?) and don't get me started on that totally needless scene with the American flag. Cheese.. and all the crying...

Overall I just think Sam Raimi tried too hard to not make it look like the most expensive film ever, he wanted it to be a serious movie. But half an hour less and a better pacing would have made this one a winner.

Now hit me, I can take it

I actually loved the first one! It was entertaining, funny and had good action scenes, all in the right balance. The second one was darker, but still very good.

Default Reserve judgement folks

Gonna see it today at my local cinema as well as book tickets for my family to go see it on my sisters b-day 2morow.

This movie should be awesome but reading up on reviews through google news, a lot of the people seem to be unsatisfied with it, branding it worse than the first two, i'lkl reserve judgement on this one till about 4.10 when i'll be watching it today.

It should be an awesome movie, but let's hope it doesn't dissapoint.

Took the wife and caught the midnight showing. They opened a 3rd screen up with 2 filled. Seats around 500 I'd say. I thought it was excellent. Even if it had been bad I still love Spidey. The woman that played Gwen Stacey, wow. What a bomb shell. Venom was awesome and the effects were top notch. Can't go wrong.

I was never really a big fan of the Spider-man franchise.
Tobey Macguire just don't look right in the role of spidey.

After seeing how awesome the 2nd one was,I really wanted this to be great.I didn't like it,I don't hate it,but they took on the "bigger is better" aspect and it just didn't work, alot of "filler" was put it that wasn't needed. Spider-Man is constently taking his mask off way too many times,I know he can't have it on 24/7 but the 2nd one he only took it off when needed, now he's doing it like every chance he gets.Venom looked great, just wish we could have seen more of him,but venom's personality wasn't captured. Never heard him say "We are Venom,we are going to kill Spider-man! hehehe He's going to die hehehe"

the movie was good.

to me it did flow, and had a good balance of humor, action, some what love story.

But did any one feel, towards the end when spidey kills off venom.

Did it feel like the ending was rushed to end.

Like they weere filim and editing and realized they didnt have enough money so the Wraped it up quick?

I feel as if I was watching the climax to the end that a Sony Executive was shouting "Aye guys Wrap it UP, AYE WRAP IT UP!

Good Flick tho

I agree, but I guess they do that because, i remember I read that the lack of a super hero's human face make the character a bit of a cartoon.

So if they show more facial shots to humanize the character.

Thats why the Hulk was a bit weird and very fantasy like world, just liek ghost rider.

Honestly Spiderman 3's CGI was Jaw Droppingly Great!

No matter what Raimi and the screenwriters did it was going to be very hard to beat Spidey2.

Regardless this will be a must own on Bd this xmas. I predict this will be the first HD disc to top 250,000 in sales.

I saw the movie this morning. I thought this was a very well made title. Great action sequences, great CGI, and a great storyline! People that need action in 70% or more of the movie to think it is good probably won't like this Spiderman as much as the 2nd installment. I call this Spiderman a complete movie (as in very well rounded).

This title will be a must have on video this year.
