Default Any reviews for Friday The 13th (2009)?

Just wondering if any early reviews have popped up for this highly anticipated film?..I sure next week several will appear, but are there any currently Up?
has Platnum Dunes even previewed this yet?

My wedding is on Saturday and I already told my wife-to-be that we're going to watch it on our honeymoon. I'll post my little critique at that time.

Okay, just got back. First of all, the first 20 minutes were AMAZING...the whole theatre clapped literarely. The kills were great and it was definitely creepy.

What I LOVED about it:
It had that old horror feel to it, as did Texas Chainsaw Massacre...and it stayed true to the older movies (you will see why when you see it)

What I didn't like about it:
Towards the middle, it turned too much to a Texas Chainsaw Massacre type of movie...but still was different. Like it had resemblence to Chainsaw at some scenes which isn't bad, but the first 20 minutes/last 15 minutes were definitely better than the middle.

Overall: It was like Friday the 13th Part I, II, III, IV all jammed into one with a touch of a feel of Texas Chainsaw Massacre to it....and man there were MANY jumpy scenes that had the whole theatre screaming. DEFINITELY go see it and I will definitely buy it on Blu-ray if not see it in theatres again.

I will add that I thought the beginning of the film could have been even more. With looking at a run time of just at 90 minutes, I thought that the beginning of the film could have relied less on a narrated intro and more on graphic detail of showing what caused Jason to begin his killing. Without giving anything away, I thought an extra scene showing the violent beginning that was told only through narration would have done wonders for the film. I also found the ending short and sweet.
Penitus describes the plot almost perfectly, so I'll just end by giving it a 5/10.
Not bad for a relaunch of the franchise.
