LOL I'm just putting it between Dark city and Guantanamo Bay. I know, I know it only makes sense to me. The 2 older ones will go next to the blu of the first film.

Um it has only been out a month since last Friday. I think it would be a little premature for an announcement.

Movie comes out in the summer with the parts 2 & 3 in blu ray. Nispel (producer) says that not only will there be more violence and other things, but a big storyline plot that was left out of the movie.
Wasnt really crazy bout the flick, but I have to support my favorite genre.

I really liked it for what it was (entertaining slasher flick good for a few scares) and I will definitely be picking it up. Here's hoping for an unrated cut of the film

In between those 2 movies? I'm assuming you place your movies in alphabetical order?

Anyway, missed this in the theaters, can't wait for the blu-ray release. Will be a blind buy for me. Been watching all the old ones lately getting ready for it!

Saw this movie on opening day and I have to say it was ok...however I'll still get it on blu since I don't plan on upgrading the originals to HD.

I believe Nispel said in an interview about it, that the BR & DVD will be 10mins. longer than the theatrical cut.

To me, it was just not a Friday the 13th movie, didn't like it at all. A female friend at work loved it. There was just something missing. I am not surprised that it tanked at the box office after the first weekend.

I don't think it tanked... I think it is considered a success.

Domestic: $64,411,111
+ Foreign: $21,723,964

= Worldwide: $86,135,075

It only cost $19 million to make... so that is a huge profit even after promoting it.

I enjoyed it, will I buy the Blu-Ray... probably not.

What is the extra scene that was mentioned above? Jason eats a deer?

Movie was almost like a porn

My girl did not like the movie because of too much sex content, and how the camera views were shaking. Got her dizzy. She said she's not ever going to watch another horror movie. I was like Damn! I hate watching them alone... oh well.

I dont think he is, if you watch the movie, it kind of makes it look like it follows the story after part 1 and the movie itself, imo, looks as its a homage to 2 +3 together.

Kind of the way Halloween h20 totally discarded all of the sequels and continued its story after the first one.

I've said it before, I'll say it again-- 90% of ALL horror flicks "tank" after the first week-end-- the fans see them right away and there's no audience left
afterwards. How much the movie makes opening week-end is what determines success--- and this movie was a huge hit!

They already pulled it out of our theater. Must not have made any money.

I guess $64 million for a Friday the 13th makes it a huge hit. There is a sequel planned but I wouldn't expect it to make nearly as much as this did. Being a "huge hit" after the first weeks Box office still does not make it a good movie.

I expected at least one traditional kill, Voorhees-style, such as grabbing them from underneath and impaling them through the back.
