Default Fox on the way to Reschedule and announce titles

Fox on the way to Reschedule and announce titles according to digitalbits and it seems true and confident in the face of HD-DVD and websites biased to HD-DVD just keep throwing untrue statements and FUD.

"By the way, while we're talking HD format support, we've spoken once more with reps from 20th Century Fox Home Entertainment, who say in no uncertain terms that their studio is NOT wavering in its support of Blu-ray Disc, despite the continued delay of those catalog BD titles (from both Fox and MGM) that were first announced at CES in January. Some of our other industry sources have informed us that work IS ongoing on additional, as-yet-unannounced catalog titles for BD release from both studios, which seems to confirm Fox's on-the-record statements to us. Given this, we do fully expect all of these titles to be rescheduled and announced for release in the weeks ahead. We would certainly expect Fox to have something more substantial to say on the subject at the EMA Expo in July, if not sooner. Rest assured, we will post the official details here as soon as they're available"

Greetings to all of you
Here's a post on another forum with some (alleged) Fox release dates.

This has to be "rumour" category, but hopefully this is on the mark.

Ive been wondering when Fox is going to release more BD movies, I know that they're waiting for BD+ but I would think they got this resolved by now... hopefully we'll hear some announcements later in the weeks.

I hope it is not on the mark, did you see those prices-

July 10
Master and Commander $49.98
The Sand Pebbles $49.98

July 24
Man On Fire $49.98

August 7
Mr. & Mrs. Smith $49.98
Turistas $49.98

August 14
Pathfinder $49.98

August 28
Cast Away $49.98
The Siege $49.98

I know we get discount thru Amazon and the such, but the price jump is still $10.00 more, Fox is nuts, folks that see the sticker price at Best Buy will freak out.

That would be Canadian dollars. Translates to $45 US dollars, but we'll still have to wait until the U.S. announcement to know the U.S. prices.

Those are the normal SRP for Fox BD titles in Canada (in Canadian dollars). The US SRP is $39.98.

Just what I like to read, people not supporting BD. I will buy most of the titles.

Looks like I'll have a few new titles to enjoy during the summer. I can't wait for Fox to start bringing the heat back. Don't forget, Fox has still been encoding titles while they haven't been releasing. So that will hopefully translate into a flurry of titles come holiday time.

That's the thing a lot of the HD-DVD folks fail to realize. If BD is already selling 2 to 1 over HD-DVD, and Fox has barely released anything, what do they think is going to happen when the floodgates open? That margin is just going to increase.

The fact of the matter is that we have not yet had Sony, Fox, & Disney all firing title at us on a sustained basis all at once. Sony went through the dryspell when they revisited their QC. Disney was just ramping up. And Fox went AWOL after 3 months.

I think soon (by July/August) we are going to see this all come together for the 2nd half of the year. Throw in the huge advantage in day & date releases BD wil have into the Fall...and it's going to get ugly (on our wallets and for HD DVD).

Once IME is ready to go (for Warners) and BD+ is finalized (for all Fox titles, and you know other studios are holding back some releases due to security) the floodgates will open wide. When those two things are good for production, no company that releases on BD will have any reason to hold back, based on excuses they give now.
