Default THE KINGDOM, A Must for PQ fanatics!

My neighbor has been bugging me for a while to watch this movie exclaiming, "Dude, its one of the best Blu-Rays out." After the first 10 Minutes I was hooked, not only is the PQ top notch but the movie itself turned out to be a very good movie with good performances by Fox, Garner and the guy from BREECH (Can't come up with his name right now). Anyway, I noticed that not too many of our members reviewed this movie including myself. If you haven't seen it, que it up and see it. This movie definitely went under my radar but after watching it I realized that this is a, "MUST OWN".

This one is on my wishlist. I have not seen the movie, and I have been patiently waiting for a sale. Great to read about the PQ!

agreed, I have the HD DVD version (Identical pq) and it's a stunner of a movie. Not only technically but the plot had me and my 3 friends hooked from beginning to end. Very intense

Saw it in the theater and own it on Blu, great film but I'm into that Michael Mann-ish/Saudi Arabia/Jennifer Garner all sweaty thing.

The explosions, car wrecks, and apartment shootout have some nice ear candy.

Chris Cooper might be the actor you're thinking of.

eta: Jason Bateman also does a great job on this film.

I absolutely love this movie. I passed it over so many times at blockbuster on dvd until someone kept telling me I had to see it, so I finally caved and rented it. It was a day 1 blu purchase for me.

awesome movie! And the last 20 minutes may be one of the most intense endings I have ever seen. I have this on order from amazon and can't wait to check it on BLU.

YES, I forgot how sharp the AQ is. DIALOGUE over FX is excellent, great separation.
YES I kept passing it too. It may just be the best kept secret on Blu-Ray, AMAZON, put this one on sale! Please!

I gladly double-dipped on this one. The soundtrack is ferocious in places.

Amazon.com is selling this title for $20.00. That's a good price if you ask me.

I saw this one on HD-DVD and was very impressed with the PQ of it. The story is pretty good as well but I am holding off buying it for now. I would likely pick it up for 1/2 price someday.

Very CSI-ish (only in the military)
But still, a good way to spend a couple of hours.

I actually fell asleep halfway through this (on satellite TV) cos it was boring and didn't seem to be going anywhere. Was the ending good?

Always good to see Jennifer Garner kicking ass and not taking names. I was cheering at the end.

I got it at Amazon Market place in a two pack with Jarhead for around $21. It was legit. Even with the expensive international postage it was a good buy
