I have been on the forums for almost a year now and have always wanted to ask a few questions. So here goes.

1. Why do you buy so many Blu-ray movies/tv seasons?
2. Do you buy titles just because, or do you actually have a reason for buying them?
3. How many of the Blu-ray titles you own have you watched?
4. What does your spouse or boyfriend/girlfriend think?

If it makes you feel better, I will also answer these questions.

1. I like to collect films. I did the same with VHS and DVD
2. I either love the films or like them, but I never buy a film I hate.

1: i buy movies i enjoy watching
2: i buy titles b/c they are movies i enjoy watching and will rewatch over and over.
3: all of them
4: she has no say, i was buying movies before she was around.

1. I like the feeling of OWNING a movie I really like.
2. Most movies I don't watch more than once, so it may seem pointless, but I don't think so.
3. I own 60 and I've watched 45. I have a two year old at he makes it hard to find time to fully enjoy watching a movie.
4. My wife definitely thinks I waste too much money, but as long as it's not HER MONEY...

1) I buy them because I love the movies and want to watch them in the best format possible.
2) I buy them because I like the movies a lot.

I enjoy collecting and watching movies. Blu-ray provides the best viewing and listening experience.

1. Because I love collecting and movies are a real passion of mine. Plus there isn't anything on tv the majority of the time and I love to throw in movies or tv shows I own.

2. I mostly buy titles I like however there have been occasions where I purchase a Blu just to provide demo material.

3. I own 186 blus and I only have probably watch about a third of them . Although I love my blus, I only have one blu player and I often find myself just watching tv shows I own in my room just because my parents are using the HDTV.

4. I don't have a girlfriend but most of my friends thinks I'm crazy for buying so many titles .

1. I bought this many DVDs, so no reason not to buy this many Blu-rays at good prices.

2. I buy movies I want to see.

3. I have watched each and every movie I have except 2

A. I don't buy NEARLY as many BLU's as I did DVD's... I try and only new movies I don't already own on DVD or new transfers that warrant the upgrade...

A. What can I say, I love movies... I own a PS3... if I'm gonna watch a movie I want it to be in the best possible presentation possible.
3. How many of the Blu-ray titles you own have you watched?
A. I own about 25 or so.
4. What does your spouse or boyfriend/girlfriend think?
She's not too concerned as long as she gets one every now and then... IE for every Dark Knight and Iron Man, there's a Becoming Jane.

This is the first movie format where I told myself I wasn't going to get into that deep with software. So far I only have about 8 or 9 BD's.

1. i don't buy many Blu -ray movies
2. currently, I will only buy BD's that I feel are demo quality material or I like the movie so much I have to have it.
3. I have watched all the BD titles I own.
4. my other half isn't into BD's and would be happy with standard def DVD's.

I used to own about 400 DVD's of standard def.. I've sold all of them but about 40 of the titles I wanted to keep because I like the movie enough not to want to own it on BD.

I also have about 20 HD DVD's

1. I buy movies because I like to watch them. What I want to watch depends upon what mood I'm in, the time of year, and new releases to theatres.

2. I also buy for my neices and nephews, they visit, and my SO.

3. I've watched all of my movies except for a handful of titles that I've recently received.

4. My SO enjoys watching them as well, although does complain occasionally because of the packages we receive.

Because I like owning movies, and the more the merrier! I may watch it once, but I like having it in my possession.

My fiance and I both love watching movies and as long as I buy them, we have them to watch. I also throw in a couple chick flicks here and there and she's happy with them. But honestly, if it's within our budget, there are no problems.

1.) I buy films on Blu-ray or HD-DVD for that matter because I am a film buff and I LOVE watching movies. And, I buy TV seasons if they are my all time favorites like Buffy, Angel or Smallville or if I can buy them at a really, really great price. I don't want to use a netflix or blockbuster account. I just want to not leave the house and have my movies there.

2.) For replay value.

3.) Not as many as I'd like because I am trying to stay afloat in this economy as I think most people are.

4.) Single, but if I wasn't single, I would hope it wouldn't matter if it was my money.

2. If it looks interesting I usually go for it....have been burned b4 but that's ok

1. I enjoy the quality of blu movies/tv shows. I enjoy watching movies and if i am going to buy them, buy them blu.
2.I only buy the movies or shows i really want. I do not have the $$$ just to buy them for collecting purposes
3.I watch all my movies (i still need to watch 1 of my 44) so 43
4.I am currently single, once i start dating and have a girlfriend again, i can answer that better. Hopefully, she have my same view and enjoy movies as i do!

2.a No if I like a movie and it's worth seeing again on Blu-ray I'll buy it.

3.a 62 Title that this time watched I think 53 of them.

4.a Not much if she see a good deal on one she'll pick it up for me.

1. Why not its cheaper than what I use to spend my money on.
2. I like to have more than the next guy besides there is something wrong when I'm on page 8 of all collections
3. I'd say at 85 % of them
4. Single family income, she can gripe but in the end it still my money!
