Default Driver for Matsushita BDMLT (aka Panasonic Sw-5582 BDB2)

I just bought the IODATA BRD-UM2S external BD burner and have managed to waste 4 BD disks... at these prices, it's an expensive hobby.

Does anyone know where I can download the newest drivers for this thing? I'm about to throw this thing out the window.

I had it set at 2X and have read that it should be set at1X but I only have one disk left (until eBay delivers since I am going on deployment b4 the shops open up here in Japan)

The same thing happened (i.e. before 50% is completed I get an error message and a request to put in another disk)

I hate to be one of the pioneers of new technology, too many hassles, not to mention the prices...

Get some BDRE discs and use them until you get things sorted out.

Also, get some better software - usually the software that ships with the drives is useless.
