Default Over/Under May Blu-ray Title Sales

Over or Under 500,000 BD discs sold in May With Pirates,Night at the Museum, Deja Vu, Planet Earth, The Queen, Letters from Iwo Jima, Flags of our Fathers, Casino Royale.....etc. Will BD break 500,000 disc sales in May?

Based on what I've ordered already (as a small sample ) I think the total sales for May are going to be very strong:

Ordered:
Apocalypto May 22, 2007
Closer May 22, 2007
Flags of Our Fathers May 22, 2007
Letters from Iwo Jima May 22, 2007
Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest May 22, 2007
Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl May 22, 2007

On the Fence:
Freedom Writers May 22, 2007
The Fountain May 15, 2007
Donnie Brasco: Extended Cut May 08, 2007

Im going to go under. i think they did 800k in Q1, BD is getting stronger, but not that strong. id look for 400k, still very impressive.

I agree with Stockstar. I hope it will be over 500,000, but I think it will be just shy of that mark. Blu-ray sold 800,000 in 3 months. That gives you a monthly average of about 267,000. Casino Royale sold about 60,000 in the first week. Pirates 1 & 2 should pull in at least that amount each by the end of the month. Add the others and you should be in the 400,000 range.

I second that. Also I think that some people are spreading their purchase out over the next 2 or 3 months. After all, not everybody can blow 150 USD in one month on BDs. But it will be an impressive figure after all

I think "the software" thread means BD authoring or video encoding software and their discussions. It's not about movies or games.

Thread moved to the Blu-ray Movies section and title changed slightly.

Blu-ray Software: 'Discuss Blu-ray burning and playback software on personal computers.'

Well if we surpass 500K, that's definately cause for celebration. I know personally, I bought POTC 1/2 and Apocalypto tues. And I took advantage of the buy 2 get 1 free deals at fry's X3
I would say very close to 500K, surpassing though....
