Problems with John Carpenter's Thing

So im watching John Carpenter's the thing i get to the part with the blood testing and all of a sudden the picture freezes?? i tried skipping to the next chapter and nothing is there?? I tried every chapter after the part where it freezes and nothing is there when i go before it freezes the movie plays. I guess i have a bad copy How do i go about returning this?? i bought it off of amazon it was the universal 3 pack with land and day of the dead.
