Surround speaker placement on wall

Ok Im a lil confused, with alot of info on here. I going to mount my Surround speakers on side/back wall. My loveseat is against the back wall, and my couch is against the other wall, Here's a diagam: An upside down L

Should I mount the speakers on the sidewall facing the loveseat,or the back wall, facing the front of room. In this diagram they are facing loveseat, but it seems that there is space behind loveseat.
