Default Criterion wishlist

I Think the movie Philadelphia would be a great candidate.

1 it only has a barebone Blu Ray
2 Great actors in Hanks, Washington and Robards
3 A represents a era (early 90s beginning of The HIV/AIDS epidemic)

What movies are on your Criterion wishlist?

Anderson addressed Hard Eight recently in an AMA. He said there are no current plans and that he would have to dig up some elements of the film before it's prepped for blu-ray.

- Two Women with Sophia Loren, preferably using its original title La Ciociara.

- All the Fellilni stuff that is languishing in DVD land, including Orchestra Rehearsal and The Ship Sails On.

- The Florida Project. (C'mon guys, do an emergency release and scoop dat!)

The Devil & Daniel Webster (I think they own this one)
Catch-22 (I did read somewhere that they were going to release some Paramount films)
The Devils (I think Criterion is its only chance of a Blu-ray release).

I would love to see The Beach get the Criterion treatment. How is this not on Blu-ray to begin with?

I doubt we’ll get all of the Kubrick films on Criterion but it would be awesome if we did haha. The next release should be Eyes Wide Shut.

Criterion currently has Shoot the Pianist on DVD. Its a Francois Truffaut title so I think the odds are pretty good. The question is when.

All of the remaining Scorsese films not on blu ray: Who's That Knocking at My Door?, Alice Doesn't Live Here Anymore, After Hours, Bringing Out the Dead. (I would also like to see a Criterion version of "Silence").

The Tenant, Crash (The Cronenberg One), Blue Collar, Fingers, Cruising, Klute, Teorema, Henry and June, At Play in the Fields of the Lord, Year of the Dragon, California Split
