Strange...Demos installed themselves ?

Hi,

Last night I told my PS3 to download the KillZone2 demo and Go Puzzle demos in the backround followed by the Pulse videos... I think I set the PS3 to turn itself off when it was done and then I went to sleep.

This AM I was surprized to find the PS3 still on. When I turned on the rest of the system I found the downloads were done the the new demos were already installed.

So.... Could this be normal somehow or did I have guests last night

I've never had the PS3 install demos on it's own before.

Well there are a couple I have downloaded that have not required to be installed, Afro Samurai and Lord of the rings I think... perhaps that's what happened with the ones you got?

if you "download in backround" you have to manual install whatever you are download

if you just let the demo or whatever download withOUT "downloading in backround" it will self-install.

Err.r.. no?

I always set my PS3 to download in background and then shut off when its done (so I know its done). It installs the demos every single time before it shuts off.


Now if I'm downloading in background and still using the PS3 then I usually will have to go and manual install... which I think is pretty lame.

That explains it then.... mostly.... I don't know why the PS3 was still on but that could have been because the cat who likes to sleep on the couch in the HT bumped the Blu Ray remote which results in the PS3 being turned on.
