Do blu-ray players suppport WMV files?

Hi

I would like to know if WMV files are a standard in blu-ray players (I know that PS3 can play wmv).

Will I be able to play WMV files (windows media video 9, wmv3), resolution 320x240, windows media audio V2?

Do all WMV files work in blue-ray players?

On blu-ray.com I found this:

MPEG-2 - enhanced for HD, also used for playback of DVDs and HDTV recordings.
MPEG-4 AVC - part of the MPEG-4 standard also known as H.264 (High Profile and Main Profile).
SMPTE VC-1 - standard based on Microsoft's Windows Media Video (WMV) technology.
Please note that this simply means that all Blu-ray players and recorders will have to support playback of these video codecs, it will still be up to the movie studios to decide which video codec(s) they use for their releases.

It looks like VC-1 is the same as Windows Media Video 9 and it has three profiles: simple (wmv3), main (wmv3) and advanced (wvc1).

Do blu-ray players support all windows media 9 codecs (wmv3 & wvc1) and resolution?
And do they support windows media audio V2?

Had someone actually tried to play videos with wmv3 codec?

I have the Samsung BDP1500 and I can't see on there that it accepts wmv but I have not tried. Go down to a store with some blu players on display with some wmv files on a cd/dvd and ask if you can try them I'm sure they would let you as it could possibly be a sale for them.
