Default I'd love to support this forum by ordering Blu-ray from Amazon, but Amazon not cheap

I'd love to support this forum by ordering my Blu-ray movies from Amazon,
using the click-through links on this website.

However, Amazon doesn't seem to have good prices lately. In fact, I just
ordered 19 Blu-ray movies and all of them were cheaper by as much as $8
per movie on Tower.com.... (free shippping on either website)

I use to buy strictly from Amazon.com, they use to have great deals and prices when the format war was still going on, and the Canadian dollar was much stronger then. Now the deals on amazon are fewer and fewer, and I can't stand that they jack the prices up on titles and then tell you they are on sale as part of a buy 2 get one free.

Its just not worth is now, for me at least with the "Import Deposit Fee" plus add another $3 per title for shipping, and our low dollar... Its cheaper for me to now buy blu's at B&M stores here in Canada, where a year ago it was so much more cheaper to order from Amazon.com...

Amazon still has great buys and frankly, I think Tower Records is over-priced. OP, you working for them? LOL.

Anyway, I just compared 5 random blu-ray titles between Amazon and Tower...Amazon had the lowest price every time.

I just compared Amazon to tower, and I found Amazon cheaper on almost everything. I am missing something here?

i ususally buy from amazon, but i am thinking of placing an order with tower for a few titles ive been waiting to pick up, it looks like all of their prices are regularly pretty expensive on tower, but when they have a sale, its a really good sale

Tower is definitely cheaper because they purposely price below Amazon's pricing. There are a few items that are significantly cheaper. Customer service is very questionable and shipping times are always a gamble with Tower.

This site may be pro-Amazon which is great but, if you look in the hot deals section, there are more deals elsewhere than just Amazon. The nice thing about Amazon is that they often match competitors prices which, during this past x-mas for me was great as it was somewhat one stop online shopping. That said, I always look for the best deal and, often price match local stores at Best Buy for reward zone points. Wether you like Amazon or not, I doubt people are throwing money away on over priced products when they know they can get it cheaper elsewhere. Thus, the hot deals section and why it is constantly being updated with the lastest/greatest deals.
