What is the shipping delivery times for orders placed with Amazon.co.uk - Blu-ray Forum

hey all,

I ordered Shawshank Redemption so I could get a normal case instead of the digibook. The estimated delivery is March 13. Clearly hasn't arrived yet and it is now the 18th. I wrote amazon.uk and they responded saying wait till the 25th of march. if it's still not here contact them again and they will send another one free.

good and fast customer service, so i'm not to mad. But all you importers out there, is this normal? Should I add a certain amount of days to a import estimated delivery? did they take the fact that i'm in the US when they projected March 13th?

Just wondering what everyones experiences with this sort of thing is.

What day did you order it, and when did they ship it?!?!?!?!?!

if i ordered something today, it would probably ship from the UK the 19th or 20th... and would possibly be here between 7 and 10 working days... thats the minimum.

From many personal experiences ordering with amazon.uk, I'd say this is right. I never had a problem. Good service.

I usually get better shipping from the uk than I have in the U.S.

About two or three weeks for me depending on the order.

I have purchased two steelbooks from amazon UK while they were already available and quite a bit of time went by.

Also, as a point of reference, I am on the East Coast in the USA.

yeah we've always had nice service from the UK, so far so good ;-).

We used their 1 to 2 day shipping by air and that works just fine too. its a lil expensive, but wanted to see how good the shipping was like that and it was fast!!!!

I generally receive all of my orders from them within 5 business days of the shipped anouncement.

alot of it is your proximity to an international airport also

They sent a ship notice on March 4th. And here it is the 18th and I still have not recieved it. (well as of yesterday since I am at work.)

So thats 14 days, 9 business days (and I'm not counting saturdays) so yeah it's late. Like I said they advised me and will take care of it if i don't get it, but I was just wondering what the understood amount of time to get something normal delivery from uk to us.

All my orders from Amazon.co.uk have taken approximately the same period once they have actually been shipped. I did have two orders recently, shipped on the same day, that arrived two days apart. Sometimes customs delays the package for whatever reason.

I've had just incredible luck with Amazon UK with my last 2 orders. I got notice of shipping within 2 days of placing the order and I actually received the discs in the mail 2 days after receiving that notice! (And I'm on the west coast of the US!) On my last order, I received the shipping notice on a Saturday and the discs arrived the following Monday. Pretty amazing.

I ordered BBC's Planet Earth Blu-ray UK Version from amazon.co.uk (BTW, got it for $45.80 CDN including shipping!

) on Wed. Feb. 11 '09 and received it on Mon. Feb. 16 '09. Six days and that Monday was a Canadian holiday - Family Day!

The only issue was the box was a slightly dented but the shipping time was decent. Satisfied customer here.
