I was watching Me, Myself and Irene a few days ago, and I was surprised it has a DTS hi res score. It seams The Happening has a Hi res score as well. Both discs are region b distributed by Fox. I definately hope this is not a trend. Allthough I find it strange the changed specs on the cover to DTS HD instead of DTS HD MA as it used to be. I think this is misleading and I am disappointed.
I hate it when distributors don't give us the full audio treat. Disney is giving Europe 16 bit (PCM) for several titles, and now Fox starts to not lack of Master Audio. ![]() |

Wow. I had no idea this was happening in region B. Both of those titles are DTS-HD MA over here in North America.
I would definitely suggest contacting Fox an/or Disney directly about this to voice your disatisfaction - preferably by phone or letter mail as emails generally would be disregarded |

Yep. The titles I spoke of in my first post are 3,0 MBPS. It is like old times, when Fox did support DTS in the US, but we only got DD. I find this nog giving the optimal Blu Ray experience! Besides... I personally hate dubs! Orinal is the one and only and needs to be in the highest quality (like its US counterparts). Fox, Disney... think of the quality you pretend to offer in your adds. This is not the use of DTS hi res as highest quality possible. When I pay 30 euro for a single title, I want that highest quality.
Do you have a list of Fox titles having DTS Hi Res? Last edited by *TIMMIE*; 01-22-2009 at 09:55 AM. |

This is exactly right. Fox is trying to save space to fit in as many dub tracks as they can get for Europe.

One was colour of magic which seeing the specs I wonder if was all encoded by people from skyone rather then fox since the video was 1080i rather then 1080p and standard DTS instead of DTS-HD MA or HR. As for the second title it was a (distrubited by fox) pathe release silent hill which I think looking at some of their other releases they just brought the german encode which was VC1 and DTS-HD HR. |

As for the others I can tell they are fox titles but don't know on the sound on the UK disks. Last edited by stargazeruk; 01-26-2009 at 08:58 PM. |

Wrong. It's Universal. Same disc was released in Australia.
