Default What's your favorite studio?

In regards to the movies they release, the overall quality of their releases, price point, etc.?

Or do you have no preference as long as you get the movie you want?

I'm not sure if my BD collection actually reflects this, but Disney and WB sprang to mind right away. I certainly have a lotta of Disney titles and Batman and Superman discs (BD & DVD) in my collection.

I'd say Disney... but I wonder if the pq quality isn't related to them having a ton of money when making the film. Still, they're releases of old movies (Sleeping Beauty & Pinocchio) are fantastic and have a lot of great bonus features in HD.

Summit did well with Twilight but the bonus features say 1080i and don't look it.

Focus Features (has nothing to do with my Blu collection, they just make quality films) and certainly Disney-Pixar ever since I invested in Blu-Ray.

Definitely Disney. No question about it.

Disney or Fox, but I have been unhappy with Disney's lack of releases lately. They really have not been putting out many catalog titles.

Undoubtedly Disney and Universal. While Universal was late to the table in the format war, every one of their releases are top notch.

I'd have to give it to DISNEY because all of their releases have been
pretty terrific as far as PQ---

the other studios released a lot of disappointing transfers early in the game....

Universal has brought its A game since joining Blu-ray a little less than a year ago (only been releasing since the Summer). Everything is DTS-HD MA, their bonus features are actually worth something and their picture quality, especially on new releases, has been top notch. Outside of the Bourne Collection being priced crazy, their prices have been just right.

Disney is doing an awesome job with packaging and adding DVDs and digital copies to everything but they're something that I don't have to have (though I do enjoy digital copies when they're iTunes compatible).

The only real trouble is getting Warner in line. They have the biggest catalog and I would rather enjoy if they understood the concept of lossless audio just a little better. Their video quality hasn't been so bad, maybe bump the bitrate.

Fox/MGM need to lower their prices, especially when a lot of their stuff is barebones, or close to it.

Overall, it's been a good growth year since HD-DVD finally bowed out.

I would say Lionsgate and Disney for support of 7.1-channel lossless audio and great PQ.

Lionsgate & Disney for the quality of their BDs.
Warner Bros. for the quality of their actual films.

Disney has done a great job with their releases. When it comes down to it, I do not favor one studio over another. As long as the studios release a high quality product, I will not complain.

A poll of this was done once. Disney won by a long shot.
