Well I have a 50" S1 since March 27th and love it it's my first plasma and big screen. After the first 4 days I had noticed some buzzing but really didn't think much of it thought it was just the size of the tv and the circuitry then I noticed on my surge protector the ground light indicator wasn't on so I took it to a different outlet and the indicator lit up so I then took the covers off the 2 outlets off in the room that the tv is in and noticed that there was no ground . House is about 60 yrs old some new wire but mostly old wire so I called an electrician had him come out to do some work I had him dedicate a 20 amp circuit to the room where the tv is with new wire and grounded outlets and had them also replace all light switches and outlets with ground so at a later time I can replace the older 2 wire with 3 wire. This work took place last week on Wednesday.

Well after that the tv still buzzed but didn't seem as much again just thinking that it was the circuitry and being a big tv. Well yesterday (Monday) we had a weather advisory of snow and rain until Wednesday well throughout Monday I had noticed that the lights were flickering a little and just chalked it up to mostly the weather well when night came the flickering seem to get worse and again eh it's the weather will see whats happens tomorrow (today) got up at 8 and turned on some lights and they were still flickering so I'm now starting to worry a bit and decided to call the electrician the owner came out within the hour he went downstairs to look at the box opened it up and noticed on top where the main switch there was this metal tab and it was brown a bit it was arching cause as you all know things expand and contract with heat and cold and also the circuits on the right side of the box were corroded some and a tiny bit of rust on some terminals . So this calls for an emergency to replace the service box immediately. So 2 guys came out an hour later and swap out the 18 year old 100 amp service box for a 150 amp one along with a new main line that comes off the line to the house. Guess what lights don't flicker and no BUZZING from tv.

So for anyone that ever said there tv was buzzing and shouldn't be buzzing check your service box check your ground and if you want dedicate a circuit for your HT. So all is good for now.Knocks on wood.
