Default Monoprice vs. BlueJeansCable vs. Walmart Cables

Alright so I have never bought monoprice cables, but I know that's what most of you are running cable-wise. So looking at cabling that keeps it in the same kind of price range I've come up with a few options (this is not for me BTW as my systems are all fully wired and need no upgrading)

1. Monoprice Cables; recommended highly by most members of the forum, the most cost-effective option (provided you don't live overseas and have to pay through the nose for shipping)

2. Blue Jeans Cables; recommended by myself and a few others as a cost-effective alternative to the cables you get at Best Buy or the likes, fairly close in price to monoprice, possibly better quality

3. Department store cables; not recommended by anyone really, but a cheap option if you don't want to wait a few days for your cables to ship to you

Now what I would like to do, is get everyone's opinions on the cables they currently use, as well as links to the cables. This should provide a good resource for new users to find cabling on the cheap.

My speaker cables:

BlueJeans Cables 5T00UP 10awg with BlueJeans Cable Banana plugs.

I'd say Monoprice is for best value; Blue Jeans is for higher quality; and Walmart is for sticky situations.

That hit it right on the head.

I must stress that for any analog cables, (component video, subwoofer cable, or RCA interconnects) I would recommend Blue Jeans cables. I noticed significant improvement switching over to a Blue Jeans subwoofer cable with my old subwoofer. It suffered from a bit of boominess, which I thought was inherent to the sub. However, when I upgraded to the Blue Jeans cable, the boominess disappeared, and the sub's output was deeper and more accurate.

I've since replaced that sub with my M&K V-125, which is fantastic, and I've kept the Blue Jeans sub cable.

I'm running Audioquest cables currently, but they are kinda pricey. Love them though, some of the best cables out there. And I feel it's worth spending the money on cables, when you spend the money on a little more upscale setup.

Very interesting... what brand of sub cable were you using before you got the blue jeans cable?

Read this article. The guys at cnet plug and unplug TV's and cables all day long and they say to use cheap cables, and they themselves use monoprice cables for a lot of their testing.

I've been using various Blue Jeans cables for about five years now. The build quality of the cables is always great, their shipping is incredibly fast, and they have great customer service. I saw a noticeable difference between my Monster Series 2 component cables and Blue Jeans' components with my Denon DVD-1600. I plan on upgrading my sub cable sometime soon and definitely plan on sticking with BJC.

B&M store cables (yes, even Monster) are good for one thing only: To use only until your Monoprice/Blue Jeans Cables come in the mail and you can take them back to the store for a full refund.
