There are kits available like this one that allow pretty much any speakers to be used wirelessly, but the results vary based on a lot of variables. Wireless speakers really aren't the best way to go because they're prone to interference from so many different sources. Wireless routers and cordless phones are two of the biggest offenders, based on what I've read.

I agree. Cell phones and remote controls can also cause interference from what I hear. Your best bet is to get a wired set up and run the wires along the bottom of the wall to keep them as much out of site as possible. If you own your home you might want to consider doing what a friend of mine did and run the wires under the carpet by cutting small slits about every 2 feet or so until you get the wires from the receiver to were you place your speakers. This worked very well for him and you don't even notice unless you get down on the floor and look for them.

Has anyone tried these (best buy rocketfish) speakers out? I have hardwood floors so running wire just isn't feesable.

I've been using the Rocketfish for over a year now. It works great and while I understand how some might have had a problem, I've never had issues with delay, buzzing or interference. I live in a condo, so I'm around a lot of potential problems, my wireless phone included.

In my opinion the major drawback of the Rocketfish is the power limit--25 watts.

I have one. For me it's been great, but I have been using the Polk RM6750 5.1 setup. So my main complaint would be power, but I can't even get there with what I have.

I also have a RocketFish wireless transmitter/receiver that I've been using for almost 2 years. Works great. I also have hardwood floors and din't want to run my wires in the attic and into the walls.
No problems with it at all. It's a great workaround.

"Workaround" is the right word for it. The Rocketfish isn't ideal, but it provides a satisfactory solution to a major problem.
