Baseball games on ps3 - Blu-ray Forum

so i havent played any of the new baseball games. and in the past ive been a mlb2k guy. well today i rented mlb2k9 and was looking up some reviews on it, to see what the people say about the big 2 games mlb2k9 vs. mlb the show 09. so what do you guys think i have 2k7 and rented the 2k9. but somehow i get this feeling i need to buy mlb the show09. anyone played the both. i need some input from you all.

Just get MLB 09 : The Show. It's by far a superior baseball game. I haven't personally played 2K9, but I did play quite a bit of 2K8 and The Show is like a thousand times better. It is very much a sim game though, so don't expect to be hitting home runs every other at bat. If you're cool with that, the Show is the way to go.

thats far from what i want, i want it to be realistic. i was playing 2k9 and they where catching everything i was hitting. i lost 20-2

Hitting Home runs every single at bat (or every single game even) would not be realistic. MLB '09 The Show is the superior product, hitting IS harder than MLB 2K9 IMO, but you can adjust the difficulty and make it easier to get hits....also they both have demos on PSN so you could try them out.

According to the official PS mag in the UK, not only is 'The Show' the best baseball game, it's the best sports game period. Wish it was available in the UK

(don't want to import as I'd have to pay too much in import fees)

this game will last you another full 11 months until the show 10 comes out

get MLB the Show 09 the best baseball game ever made!

...very hard to get used to, but it cause its the most realistic baseball game ever!

The Show is freaking amazing! No contest! It completely destroys 2k9 in every single aspect! It's absolutely gorgeous in 1080p! I believe that under normal difficulty it strikes the perfect balance of realism with stats and scores, though you can adjust everything via slider bars to make it harder or easier if you like.
