Default Casting Green Lantern: Brian Austin Green?

Hey peeps

The Green Lantern movie is officially green lit (heh :P ), preproduction starts in July and filming in September in Sydney! It's being directed by the extremely capable Martin Campbell (Casino Royale) so only good things can come of it!

Anyway, I just came across this yesterday and was curious what other people think about Brian Austin Green as the Hal Jordon incarnation of Green Lantern...... check out this interview:

http://www.comicbookresources.com/?p...ticle&id=20794

There some very interesting comments made by Green (heh :P) about the recent Terminator SCC finale and some stuff about its future. I know there's a lot of swirly crap going around about it being cancelled for sure but Green gives some very positive and hopeful remarks. Josh Friedman has a sweet vision for season 3 and hopefully he can sell it to those idiots at Fox.

Anyway back to point, Brian Austin Green makes some very cool comments here that you should definitely read... he's taking an interesting approach by auditioning himself to the fans rather than the producers. I think he's an excellent actor and would suit the demeanor of Hal Jordon perfectly. I'f he grows out his hair a bit then he can definitely pull off the look as well. I'm all for it, hopefully Green can start generating some buzz around the internet and get his name up on the board for this. I think this has the possibility of being an absolutely brilliant film. Martin Campbell is an excellent director. If any of you read comics then I highly recommend the series of Hal Jordan Green Lantern books that Geoff Johns started writing in 2005... (namely Green Lantern: Rebirth and the Sinestro Corps War). If they follow this story line, sweet beans

Anyway, Brian Austin Green is putting himself out there to see what people say, so people... what do you say?
