Default BDP-S300 Resume Playback Option

Does anybody knows if its possible to enable via a firmware update the option resume playback after the unit had been powered off?

It bothers me that Sony has decided not to include this option on the new BDP-S300 model. Samsung and Panasonic has this option even on their first generation players. I just can't believe Sony did this. I am seriously considering returning my S300 if Sony doesn't add this feature. Is really annoying specially for a second gen player.

actually, this is already in another thread, but I've heard that the discs with the Java feature cannot resume playback on any machine once they are stopped or powered off. Something about loading the java progarm or whatever doesn't allow the machines of yet to resume
hopefully there will be a firmware upgrade in the future cause this could get annoying for sure
Can you yourself tell me what the audio quality is like from this player?

Default I feel your pain

Hey Cortiz,

The PS3 has the same problem. This isn't the first time I have mentioned my frustration in this forum. I am only responding in the hope that it will bring more attention to this problem and hopefully get Sony’s attention.

Sorry, but currently I don't have a home theater system to test the audio.
