Default Is there a Blu-ray Player that is backwards compatible with Video CDs?

Just, wondering, I am really wanting to purchase a Blu-ray player, and I really love the design of the new BDP-S300 that people say will drop in price to $400 in a month. I'd love to buy it, but one of the things I really need is the capability to play Video CDs as I have an extensive amount on them, both home movies, stuff burned before I had a DVD burner and commercial titles from back in the day. Obviously they all play DVDs, and that's checked off and I would love to buy one so I can stop paying money for DVDs which are now an infrerior format for new movies that I do not already own, but backwards compatibility is important to me. The BDP-S300 mentions CD playback is now possible unlike to BDP-S1, but does not mention Video CD. When they say CD, do they mean all encompassing to include CD Audio and Video CD or only CD Audio? Is there a existing model or announced model that will play Video CDs? I hope so, if not I am going to have to hold out, however long it takes till new models are released, and since they always like to add new features to new models to differentiate from previous models, I am sure eventually, at least by the end of 2008 there will be Video CD compatibility. Although I would love to get a BDP-S300 this summer, if I have to wait for VCD compatibility, then unfortunantly I will have to. Thanks alot,
