Default New Room! New Setup!

I'm currently building a room in the basement that's going to be my home theater room... and probably my new bedroom as well. My dad and I just put up the frame for the room yesterday and will be putting in the new sealing and walls on Saturday, and start painting either that Saturday night or Sunday.

What I have:
37" Vizio.... I know, but couldn't pass up paying only $550. It's a great TV.

Sony Bravio Soundbar.... It's honestly all I need(Front speakers and Sub). I'm more of a VIDEO person then Sound anyway.

Samsung blu ray player.... Don't know the exact model off the top of my head, but it's very basic and hasn't failed me once. That said, I'll probably upgrade to a PS3 since it's probably the best player for blu's.

EDIT: Construction(Before) pictures uploaded!

^What he said! Post some pictures so we can see the gear! And you gotta start somewhere but even though you claim not to be a huge sound guy which I wasn't myself until I splurged and bought my speakers...it really does add another level to watching blu-rays.

I saw the pictures before seeing this thread...... thought for sure it was a dedicated theater being built..... with the "temporary" screen shown (which I guess is something else) either way.... good luck.... build the room as large as possible with no obstructions to viewing paths etc..... It'll help when upgradeitis sets in

The "temporary screen" that you saw is just for privacy.. I've been sleeping in the unfinished room for a few nights now.

The room will be built completely on Saturday... painting will start that night or Sunday/Monday.

To OP - I have the same sound bar, it works for my very tiny NYC studio apartment and hey, with my PS3 it gets HD Audio. One day if I ever have a larger place, I'm definitely coming on these threads for help on an upgrade!

Look forward to your new theater room!
