Thumbs down The Cell 2 ??? HUH??? (My Personal Rant)

The Cell 2 ?? direct to video - direct to Blu ?? Huh ?? How stupid is that. Where is hell "THE CELL" on Blu?!?!?!? One of my favorite movies...........on top of Donnie Darko of course. Hmmmm......the Donnie Darko sequel was direct to video and direct to blu as well. Not liking that theme. Stupid stupid sequels to classic movies. They need to learn to just leave them alone - and come up with something original !!! What a waste !!!

The only way thats going to happen is if you (refering to the collective society as a whole here) refuse to get theis direct to video trash. I wasn't aware of a Donnie Darko sequal, and as far as i'm concerned if its low budget dtv, there still isn't a sequal. Same goes for the cell or any other movie for that matter (besides such fdtv films as the Futurama Movies, but they didn't start of as silver screen features).

Don't forget The Lost Boys 2 dtv sequel and the soon to come Lost Boys 3. The Donnie Darko sequel was Samantha Darko or something like that I think.

The "direct" to video films are quick money "fill in" makers for studios. They are not expensive to make, and they know that a small percentage of people will rent or buy them, to be "complete". The visual presentation of The Cell in BD would be amazing. Love it, or hate it, it has fantastic visual imagination from the film maker. As a fan of psychological thrillers, I am looking forward to it. I have no doubt The Cell is on its way.

When i heard the cell 2 and direct to video all I could think of was Starship troopers 2 and how bad that movie was. It also kind of hurt the amount of joy I got out of the first one

Don't ruin the first movie for yourself, DTV means stay far away from.
