Default 7.1 polk setup , need help

I just recently purchased a Hk 254 7.1 reciever and love it. I have all polk speakers in my current 5.1 setup, front- tsi 300 , backs - tsi 100 and cs 10 center channel. My question is should i purchase another set of the tsi 300's or tsi 100 for the other speakers to make it a 7.1 . I was wondering if the tsi 300 would be overkill since there just going to be for surrounds or will the 100's be better to go with.

It depends. How much are you willing to spend and do you have the room for two more tower speakers?

Yeah i actually have room for them , i was thinking the towers might be the way to go . By the time i buy the 100's and stands for them i could have the 300's for the same price . Amazon has the tsi 300's for 322.00 shipped.

With the shape of my room bookshelf speakers would have been A bigger pain than the towers (TSi-300) I put for my surr. & surr. rears !
Front door on one side open on other side !!

If you're room permits the size & you get another set of 300 use the towers as surr. & put the 100 as surr. rears !!

if you want to upgrade and move have 300s as your surrounds then buy some 4 or 500s for your mains and move your 300 back. just an idea really wouldnt cost much more to do.

I was going to say this, as I have almost the exact same speakers as you do all around. I stuck with 100's for surrounds and rears due to the room limatations and aesthetics. But if you do decide to get another pair of TSi-300's, I agree with crazyBlue and use them as surrounds and the 100's as rears.
