I love this movie and have it on dvd...it is a bit of a downer but the cast is fantastic and I am definitely going to upgrade.

Day one. One the the best teen flicks of the era.

Being that its soundtrack heavy, i wonder if theyre gonna upgrade the audio.

I guess ill retire my VHS.

I'm a big fan of Adrian Lyne's films but have never seen this one. Definite blind buy. Is there a lot of late 70's LA footage?

Little Darlings never got a DVD so I recently purchased a VHS copy.
Its a cool time capsule, but doesnt have the same bite as Foxes.

Looking For Mr. Goodbar is my "holy grail". I'd do flips if they were to get treated correctly for Bluray.

Even if Little Darlings never got a dvd release I have seen it in high-def off of HBO and the PQ was very good!! So I think there still can be a blu-ray release. And even though I am super excited to be getting Foxes, I would go ga-ga for a Little Darlings blu.

Kino seems to be mining the MGM catalog, but Little Darlings is Paramount. I think the big reason it was never released was music rights.

What year was this? They played it in the last 20 years on HBO?

Turner Classic Movies aired the original theatrical version, letterboxed, and with all original music and credits intact, on January 7, 2012.

LITTLE DARLINGS has had a lot of play on HD cable broadcasts, perhaps streaming as well, in the last few years. So, yes, there is an HD master. There is clearly no problem playing the film with all music intact for broadcast / streaming, but home video still needs to be worked out, hence it's absence on all physical media since the late '80s / early '90s. Also, the later VHS editions had some of the songs removed for licensing reasons. Only the initial VHS had the original theatrical soundtrack fully intact.

Yeah I did my research when getting the intact soundtrack VHS.

I hope the BD has it intact if it ever came out.
