My new setup is gonna consist of Energy speakers and a SVS sub. I just put my order in for all of it (hopes the wife doesn't find the receipts ). Here is what I will have:

three Energy RC-70's for front left/center/right
four Energy RC-R bipole/dipole/mono surrounds for side and rear surrounds
Subwoofer is gonna be the SVS PC12-NSD

I decided to go with the cylinder version of the sub since I thought the style was really cool and it's space saving will help me out alot and look alot cleaner as well. Also loved how the Energy RC-R's can be setup as either bipole, dipole, or mono! That way I will always have a choice how I want it and wouldn't have to get new speakers if I didn't like the way one of the three settings sounded. I'll update pics when I get everthing in and setup. I'm really excited to hear how having 3 exact matching speakers will sound in the front. I expect the imaging and panning to be awesome and seamless as all 3 speakers are identical and same height.
Isn't it nice to finally be in control of something without Megatron's meddling!.......let alone without Meg's fusion cannon pointed right at your face!!!!

if there's a room behind you...make a project and knock that puppy down...just picture all the extra seating you will have after taking down the wall

i would do it!..there's only 2 guest max at the moment..including yourself in it.

Room is 14 ft. long by 12 ft. wide. Projector looks awesome that close. I love using the 120hz frame interpolation, makes everything look lifelike and real. Yeah, the ears were about bleeding after some movies. That was the one negative I didn't like. The towers were so close as surrounds, felt sorry for wife who had to sit right next to one! They were just too close and kinda took over the soundstage and even overpowered the fronts. This is why I'm looking at reconfiguring.

I'd love to be able to do that but unfortunately there is no room behind it, only the outdoors! Fortunately thus far it's usually just my wife and I watching movies in there. My daughter is far to young ( year and half old) but when she is old enough there is a seat for her. Anybody else can sit on floor, doesn't matter to me as long as I'm sitting in the middle chair!

Seriously though, have you got enough ceiling room left to move the screen up and use one of those towers for a center? Nice use of an extra bedroom, were the towers still too loud after running the MCACC? i woul've thought that would have accounted for that and also the Xcurve setting be sure to check that as well.

No, there isn't enough room. Almost, but not quite enough . That plan has been aborted. I ran MCACC a couple times. They were still too loud, I'm guessing because if you were sitting on one of the outer chairs the horn/tweeter is right there and I mean right there next to your ear firing into it. I think the back tower surrounds had some issues because they were basically firing into the back of the chairs.

I guess you can just go into your manual speaker setup and lower the output and then change the distance to like 1ft or something

Well, I just asked my wife if the surrounds were too loud since she was the one sitting right next to it and to my surprise she said no,not really! She said sometimes it got alittle too loud for her but most of the time it was fine, especially when she reclined in the chair some. Looks like I may be back on for the towers setup.
