Arrow "X-Men Origins: Storm?!"

Don't worry, I'm sure Halle Berry was baited for answer, but the Sun reported the following:

Quote:
The sexy star, who played Storm in the X-Men movies, is jealous of co-star HUGH JACKMAN’S new movie and wants an Origins title of her own.

"I think that would be great," says Halle, currently taking time out to look after daughter NAHLA.

"I think Storm deserves her own movie."

Asked whether she would return to play the leather-clad action heroine Halle added, "Maybe - if I can still fit in the suit!"
Maybe if they made the film for $30 million.

After seeing her performance in Catwoman (yes she looked good in the suit), I hope they forget this idea. Don't think she is able to carry the "superhero" audience. To be honest, female superheros will have a hard time at the box office. NOW...when is someone going to make a theatrical version of FLASH? <<<That could be fun.

no. you can't get a better cast than what you already have. no reboots. i am sick of hollywood doing them. this movie sucked it must've been everything but the writing. get a whole new cast and director. that'll do it. reboots hardly ever do very well.

doesn't really count as there has not been a consistent batman cast for more than really two movies at best. at the point of batman begins this was the third batman in as many as ten years.

Noooo. Catwoman is one of the biggest reasons that studios are afraid to bank on a female superhero film. Personally, I'd love to see some female empowerment films, but after Catwoman and Elektra, studios are probably hesitant. Those films sucked, however, but a Storm origins movie wouldn't help the cause any at all. Buffy, Alias, Veronica Mars are examples of television shows with strong female characters with a strong fanbase that feature great characters and excellent writing. It just sucks that there really isn't many examples in film.

Female empowerment roles. I'm sure there has to be some female super-hero more interesting than Storm to do.
