Default Kind of a wierd question

Doing spring cleaning tommorrow and going to bug bomb the apartment before summer really gets started. Kind of worried about setting them off near my lcd. Would covering it with a sheet suffice or should i take other actions???

I'd remove the TV from the premises. You dont want to risk and\y of the chemicals getting on the screen.

I cleaned my old apartment setting off something like that to get rid of the bugs and my tvs were fine. All you have to do is make sure you are out of the apartment.

The tvs should be fine based off of my experience.

I'm into astronomy and I have been warned about using bug chemicals around my telescope. I have been told the chemicals can melt the coating on my lens. I know a TV isn't a telescope but I feel the same should apply in your case. If you have any doubts just remove the TV all together for peace of mind.

Run a fan that goes away from the TV and speakers. I mean, how many bugs out there give a sh*t about your HT...LOL!!!! No, but really, run a fan away from your set-up dude...can't hurt!

easy solution is to get poly sheets like you would use to lay on the floor when you paint and then tape them off around your TV and other components, that would give you a non porous material that shouldn't allow any potentially harmful chemicals to enter your TV, a bag can be picked up for about $5.

I remember prerich talking about using a cut-to-size cardboard piece taped over the screen via the bezel for moving and shipping. I would think this + a sheet or something would do you just fine.

Ok, you have a nice place, so I have to ask- why a bug bomb? Is this a common thing? I've never seen this done outside of thwere there's an infestation. That said, I know our old house has some issues with critters getting in sometimes.
