This may be off topic and I know it does all come down to money but who else finds it strange that Shrek the Halls is going to air on ABC?

well just because its ABC which does support Disney doesn't really mean that they can only show Disney movies(which also includes Buena Vista, Miramax and Touchstone). plus i know that shrek is dreamworks which is hd-dvd exclusive but since its showing the Standard definition version it doesnt have anything to do with Hd-Dvd so its doesnt really matter to much since its Standard Definition not High Definition and besides its a way for them to make money

ABC does not support Disney, ABC is completely and totally owned by Disney.

Entertainment company relationships are large complicated things. The programming execs at ABC have really nothing to do with the format war of the home video portions of the company.

Well hopefully Dreamworks will be reevaluating their stand in this war in Q1 of the new year, we all know it will be a Blu christmas regardless.

shrek is still very big, you really think disney is going to miss out on a great business oportunity because of a very, very small hd fued. over at disney there are a million things more important than blu-ray, the got theatrical releases, dvds, them parks, merchandising, etc.

And The Incredibles was on NBC Thanksgiving night. While Universal Studios is replacing their Back to the Future ride with something based on Fox's The Simpsons (or has already). These companies tend to work together on some things and I'm hoping that in the end this will help bring them together on one format (which I want to be Blu-ray at this point).

I wouldn't go that far. Home video is a very important part of Disney's revenue, and blu-ray is pretty important to the mid-term and long-term prospects in that area.

I'd say a single digit number, not a million.

Mouse employee, BTW, although nothing to do with video/studios.

Maybe thats why Fightnight was the only REALLY good EA port (as in better than its 360 counterpart)
