I've always been into multi-room audio and video.... it's great when I have parties to be having the same music and video playing in both of the main rooms. I run music videos and slideshows of pics from previous parties and events; and people really enjoy seeing images of themselves from years past on the big screens.
Over the years I've used tons of primitive solutions to get this done... usually with less than stellar results..... but the HD age is here and I have an HDMI capable receiver in both rooms so now I am looking for a way to send the same audio and video signal simultaneoulsy to both rooms via HDMI. I know there is ONE receiver out there that can do this.... but I've been iffy about buying it so far. It's still a bit more than I am ready to pay for a receiver. Does anyone know of an HDMI splitter where I can run the HDMI out from my reciever in my main room..... and then split that to my tv in the main room and then also run an HDMI to the receiver in my game room? I know there are devices such as these http://www.hometech.com/hts/products...html#VA-280327 But from what little research I have been able to do so far.... many of these type devices have less than desirable results and sometimes have a lot of handshake issues. Is anybody out there already doing something like this... and if so can you recomend a quality splitter that doesn't break the bank? |

Thanks...... yes.... I have found tons of them. As I said above, I was more looking for recomendations from someone who has already has one that works well for them... as I have read that many of them have serious issues.... especially with handshake issues. |

Is there any flaw in my plan that I am overlooking in splitting the output of my receiver and running that to a second receiver? Most people seem to use these on a single component such as a DVR or game console, but sometimes I use my PC to stream media for parties and sometimes I use my 360. My receiver has the option to send audio out or not.... so as long as I am sending audio out.... then the second receiver should see the signal as if it were coming directly from the 360 or PC.... correct? |

![]() That's the opposite of what she is looking for. Notice yours is showing 3 inputs and 1 output. ![]() This one has 1 input and 2 outputs to more then 1 Monitor/HDTV |
