Default Red Dragon mastering issue?

I bought the Dutch edition of Red Dragon last week. When I checked the disc I found (at least) 2 points in the movie where blue-ish bars appear.

1. When Edward Norton gets awaked by the telephone and receives an important message about a decoded advertisement.
2. When Philip Seymour Hoffman drives into a parking and walks towards a black van.

I can't remember it being on the DVD?! Does someone know if these bars are used to be there? Or is it a mastering issue?

Not sure, but i'd try having the disk replaced as it sounds as if its a faulty disc. Though it could just be a mastering problem/fault. (For instance there's a blue line [albiet small, its still annoying as it wasn't on the dvd] that appears on the matrix reloaded dvd just after one of the twins arms is stuck in the door and bieng shot).

Two - not so good - screenshots. Sorry for the quality. These are taken with my mobile phone.

Looks kinda like lens flair. I haven't watched it on DVD in a long time. Don't remember if those are there.

Just watched up until that particular scene to get you an answer, my disc has no bluish haze whatsoever, maybe contact the dealer to exchange?? Don't know how realistic it might be

Don't tell me that you didn't know that that was lense-flare? Don't go and see Star Trek, your head will explode with the amount on offer, lol!!

I can imagine it is, but I could not recall it seing on the DVD. So, I want to be sure it was not a mastering issue or something like that.

The one with norton on screen is not on the dvd and does not look like a lense flair, however the one with the car is a lense flair.
