Does anyone have The Great Raid on blu-ray? I am considering a blind buy on it as a war movie fan, is it a safe bet? Opinions encouraged!

I have The Great Raid on BD. I think it is a good POW rescue war movie and think it looks fine on Blu-ray (one of the original dozen or so discs from early in my collection), but I haven't revisited it in maybe seven years. The book on which it is based, Ghost Soldiers by Hampton Sides is better, so my view of the film is a bit skewed by me enjoying the book so much. Not many people have ever heard of the successful behind the lines raid on Cabanatuan POW camp during the Philippines campaign of 1945, but it is one of the most thrilling operations in U.S. military history. The raid's success was aided by the peerless Filipino guerillas who acted as guides for Lt. Col. Henry Mucci's Alamo Scouts and Army Rangers who carried out the mission.
