These plus X-Files and Army of Darkness are probably my highlights this year, as far as I can remember.

Arrow Video did amazing work all year but none of the films really rated too highly for me, unfortunately. Criterion released some cool stuff but had compression issues. Lots of new releases with perfect transfers but that is to be expected.

Haven't had a chance to check out my Battles Without Honor or Humanity box set, it might be top-ten worthy. As it is, it gets my vote for best packaging (although The Beyond deserves props for its glow-in-the-dark slipcover, and the box for The Hobbit is really nice too).

The Decline of Western Civilization box set was excellent, I picked it up for $20.00 on a blind buy and was very pleased with how good this set was!

I agree about Arrow. They put Criterion-levels of love and work into their restorations and supplements but I'm just not thrilled with their North American film choices. Only two I got this year were Society and Stray Cat Rock.
