Default Is this smaller TV better then going bigger?

My problem:
I have been trying to purchase a new TV for months but I can't get myself to pull the trigger. I keep looking at all the models and asking questions on this forum. My TV shut down a few weeks ago and I need one but still have not been able to put down the $$$. I am just afraid that I will screw up and get something I am not happy with.

The scenario:
Because of TWF the TV has to go into a cabinet. After redoing the inside of the cabinet, the max width inside is 52 inches.

This means I can get into the cabinet the Samsung LEDs--the 6000, 7000, and the 8000. The 55B650 will fit but the B950 is too wide and will not fit.

Any 52" LCD would fit but why go smaller if not necessary.
The new Panasonic 55V10 would fit, when they arrive sometime in June.

The new LG 55 LEDs are too wide
The Sony 55 is too wide

Here is why I am starting this thread:
I was at BB and they offered me an amazing deal on a Pioneer 50 Kuro 111FD but a 50" plasma seems to be small when I can get a bigger unit into the cabinet and as everyone knows ever guy wants to go bigger never smaller.

But is the KURO that much better then the above mentioned TVs that a smaller TV would out weigh a larger one?

Help me on this. As a reference point, I set 14 feet from the TV. Would love to get a 60" but no can do.
