Default Panasonic BD35 Problem

Hey everyone just bought a BD35 and have came across a somewhat slight problem, but big enough to just bug you.

Anyway im using a HDMI connection and when i set the resolution to Automatic it will play 1080p fine but won't play blurays in 1080i, 720p or DVDs in 480/576. The screen will search for the signal and come up with Mode Not Supported. However when i manually set the resolutions to either 1080i, 720p or 480/576 they will play fine.

Tried updating the firmware, thats really the only thing i can think of doing im most likely gonna be stuck with this.

I'm not really expecting an solution here just wandering if this has happened to anyone else.

My TV is a Samsung Series 6 40inch (LA40A650)

Thanks...

What is the native resolution of your Samsung? I would suggest setting your player to the set's native resolution, and/or, try a different HDMI cable, it may be bad. There may be an HDMI hand-shaking problem and your TV cannot decypher what resolution the picture info is being given to it. AUTO settings don't always work as intended.

Have the BD35 do all the conversion to 1080p. That should resolve the issue.
