So I just watched this last night on the Sci-Fi channel as I've read a lot of praise for it.
To me it didn't look like a full budget movie, somewhere between made for the Sci-Fi channel quality movie and a theater budget movie. Is this a movie that really depends on watching the series Firefly? I haven't watched the series and I'm wondering if that is probably why I thought the pacing was a bit odd and kind of lacking in character development. If it was meant strictly for fans of Firefly than that makes sense. Overall I thought it was ok. I had a hard time taking it too seriously even during the times of desparation (just felt like typical Sci-fi channel tension) Was Firefly meant to be serious or more of a corny sci-fi show? The portion near the end where they had the crazie reapers follow them through the cloud was pretty cool ![]() |
