Default SVS PB10-NSD or Klipsch RW-12D ??

What's up guys?
I need your help...I am beating myself over the head trying to decide..
I can get a new Klipsch RW-12D for the same price i was gonna pay for the SVS PB10-NSD.
Would the Klipsch at that price point be a better sub? Which would you choose? HELP!
ps...i know there are better subs out there than these 2 specific models, but these are honestly the only ones i am interested in, so please help me decide only from these 2. Thanks in advance for your help.

Unfortunately never had the chance to hear any of them. I was ready to order the SVS based on reviews, aesthetics(sp?), and also dimensions. these 2 fit perfectly and at the price point i am looking for. Well, the Klipsch is $700 but i have a chance to get it for $475. SVS plus shipping will be $480.
Which sub will be the better performer? I use mainly for HT.

I would firmly recommend the SVS over the Klipsch product.

Buy speakers from speaker manufacturers, and subwoofers from subwoofer manufacturers. (With some exceptions)

For the money, SVS will provide you much more subwoofer than the RW-12 would. Plus, you don't need to match with your subwoofer!

I have been satisfied with Klipsch in the past, but SVS subs are amazing, especially for the price.

are you purchasing the sub from svs directly, or are you getting this 'fairly used' so to speak?

reason is, i just wanted you to remember to consider shipping cost as well, which can range from 25 to 100 clams depending on your location. use the shipping calculator to estimate that for you.

back to the inquiry - i would definitely go with the PB10. aside from its outstanding performance, as well as its excellent customer service, SVS is one of the first few ID companies that came out strong in the market.

you can also use this link, via avsforums, to see its performance...

craigsubs listings

Klipsch subs, sure you can get one, but it wont match what svs has to offer. can you say 20hz?

Id recommend other companies as well, but since you insist, i shall respect that.

Thanks jomari.
Its New directly from SVS. $429 plus 50 shipping. (PB10-NSD)
And the Klipsch RW-12D is from an acquaintance and only 2 months old mint condition.
As i stated i was just ready to order the SVS before i was offered the Klipsch. Only reason it turns out to be a hard decision is the fact that the Klipsch is a $800 sub, and it's being offered to me for $475.
I know i cant go wrong with SVS. But is the $429 PB10-NSD better than the $800 Klipsch? ahhhhhh!!!! :::beating my head::::

the problem with mass marketed mainstream subwoofers is that they end up pushing the prices based on the name itself, and rarely does an occasion come along where you get yourself a great quality subwoofer from them. they can dictate the price accordingly, even if competition decides otherwise. thus the birth of ID companies, who can boast their products simply by word of mouth.

definitely worth the svs experience.

I am so glad i posted on this forum and listened to your advice.
This sub is well worth double if not MORE than the price it goes for.

Once again...Thanks for your convincing advice!
I will move your post to the Official SVS Subwoofer Owners Thread.
