It'll star DVR.

Also this "facet" thing is silly. Everyone has their point of view, modus operandi and logic. I understand perfectly that some people here don't believe in objectivity and they tend to go by what the like: fine. I do believe in it, to a lesser degree.

And this is the unpopular opinions threads (so where the haters of things can make statements) because if not it would be thread crap.

So i'd rather avoid some discussions where nobody would change their mind. It's just not worth the time. Even though, aversion and bias are boring after months, lol.

Have a nice day.

(Also shame on Villarreal for beating Man UTD in the finals!) dunno if there is a sports section so wrote it here.

Mwynn has nothing to do in this discussion except making his snarky comments, based on the fact i am not a Marvel fan, lol.

How’s about this as a 1080p release via wac? We’d all buy it.

As bad as I hate to admit it, having been born in 76 and grown up on this masterpiece (this is the first VHS I saw in our first VCR), I only just now got around to watching this, courtesy of a Father’s Day gift from my wife. O.M.G. The official review here is accurate and then some. This is watching the film for the first time. The specular highlights in HDR make every scene new, from Roy ascending in the elevator to his interaction with Tyrell in his candlelit room! This is, by far, one of the biggest upgrades in my collection. I am honored to have seen this in my lifetime.

Huh? What upscales?

Are you pirating them? They're bad because Dangerous Days was never released on anything but DVD. I don't really get the point of upscaling DVD videos.

I doubt I'm the only one confused by your question. Where is Dangerous Days available in higher than 720x480 (or the PAL equivalent)?

The Workprint disc that came out nine years ago? It's very common for special features to be carried over straight from the DVDs in standard definition. So I'm assuming Dangerous Days is in 720x480 on that Blu-ray. If it IS in HD, you said it yourself: it's an SD upscale. Looking bad should be expected.

I don't think there would even be enough space for the Workprint and all the special features in 1080p on that one VC-1 Blu-ray, but I'm happy to be proven wrong. My rips of the two DVDs already take up 14.5 GB. Unless it's a BD-50.

You’re not understanding the point. That SD stuff looks betterer on the DVDs than it does on the Blus. And it’s not even upscaled on the Blus IIRC, it’s still SD but has been encoded far worse than the DVDs, the image is more jagged.

That's not what he asked, though, which is why I wondered. I knew there couldn't have been an upscale on disc. No idea about streaming.

Which is fair enough. But he’s not wrong about it looking worse on subsequent editions.
