Did you use JB Hi-fi? My copies are taking forever. 10 days with "in progress" status.

Wish I had done this. Makes for an expensive set when the cost for the crappy US release is tacked on top.

I'm returning my US set to Amazon and getting my money back, and have the Australian releases on their way.

Shouldn't have to exchange to get a perfect set. Bottom line is the packaging for this set is horrid. I returned mine to Best Buy and they had no problem refunding my money. Every sine disc looked like it was used a frisbee and had tons on scratches on them.

My set had no scratches. I just bought another set as a gift for my brother who finally bought a 4k set and a player, and his also had no scratches.

Methinks this place is filled with people who should visit exaggerators anonymous and be grateful their life doesn't have greater problems. Just exchange it at a store if you have actual issues. I'm 2 for 2 in scratch free sets.

True, this falls under "first world problems" for sure, but it's still pretty silly to pay good money for something that gets damaged so easily. Reviewers on this site had this issue as did many here. You and your brother got lucky. It's just a stupid design through and through. Even if your discs are good now, they will get scratched up every time you put them in and out of the sleeves.

For the record, the set I received from Amazon also had a total of zero scratches on any of the six discs.

It's a YMMV thing. I purchased 2 sets and still don't have disks that aren't damaged out of the box.

Posts like this are the absolute worst. If it didn't happen to you then it's not a problem?

I purchased 2 sets and both were scratched. They came from different retailers. If I applied your faulty logic to my results then I'd assume you should join exaggerators anonymous.

I didn't defend the packaging, you can see my many complaints about it on previous pages. All I'm saying is before a ton of people pay more and wait longer for an import they might want to know that me and several others got fine discs that played normally. As someone else just said, it's a YMMV thing.

The important thing is you get the discs, because they're a huge step up from the BDs.

"It didn't happen to me blah blah blah."

I got two sets with scratches. There are enough reports in this thread of people having playback issues as a result of these scratches. That's an exaggeration? Looks to me like the proof is in the pudding. Sure, it's possible to get nice discs, but the percentage of scratched discs thus far seems a lot higher than it should be.

You need to realize that just because you didn't have a problem, doesn't mean nobody else did.

I got mine thru Amazon they had some minor scratches but the one's I care about played fine, I did not check all of them tho.

The discs move around in packaging too freely so I'm sure it happened in shipment, if yours did not get scratched I would feel lucky maybe they were handled better if you bought thru some stores?

I'm keeping my set and store them upright so the discs don't move around I'm sure they will not get anymore scratches, but between this issue and the funky layout of the discs in the set I can see why some want to import. I might of done that myself but didn't realize it was even an option.

I finally picked up my set over the weekend. I watched The Mummy last night, and like others have already said, the movie looked fantastic. The first time they showed the inside of the pyramids, my jaw almost hit the floor. Also, the flames looked like they were actually burning my TV. I swear I could almost feel the heat of the flames coming from the TV.

I didn't check the whole set for scratches, but The Mummy was scratch free. I will be swapping out the packaging for the set though.

Individual UK releases set for 16th August, allegedly.

That came from Zoom.co.uk's customer services, in reply to me asking why Universal's own storefront wasn't selling the trilogy, (and they have no plans to).
