Yeah, I know why. Just a bloody shame that when we're finally not locked out by region coding, they're not producing anything I want in HD. And still was unable to play the imported PS2 games.

The PlayTV gives a lot of the features, I hope the PTV2 supports ATSC tuning and HD DVRing
I just hope it's integrated in a new SKU. I don't want a big ugly dongle like the Torne thing.

Fair enough. I've never played a game that has such a relatively simple concept, but such dynamic and deep gameplay. The balance between the different classes and the makeup of any given team makes for almost endless strategic possibilities (though I will admit that skilled Demomen have a clear advantage over the others). Maybe my experience is just too limited, but I've never played another online multi-player first-person-shooter quite like TF2.

Im just plain not a fan of competitive multiplayer. I just cant compete with those online who spend every waking hour every day online fine tuning their deathmatch skills.

Coop multiplayer I like. Splinter Cell Conviction and both Gears of War games had great coop. I expect Gears 3 will be even better with 4 player coop.

Parents ought to make their kids get off the games every so often.

Actually Nintendo has started working in "why don't we take a break and go do something else" moments into their games. It's kind of cute. Certainly parents should enforce this behavior.

as a parent of a very game addicted 7 year old.. this has to be done... we actually had to hide the Wii.. and only re produce after we came to an agreed 'contract' of usage with him... you wouldnt believe the negotiating skills a 7 year old can have it was a fun exercise in the end and we've got him playing it much less now and out in the garden kicking a ball constantly.. and he loves being out... only hassle now is we keep tripping over footballs!

And an addiction it is .. even some of us are addicted to these forums.

Gotta watch the hijacking of dopamine pathways ...

Let's encourage the reading addiction in kids. Keeping a (private) journal is good, too.

OMG. once I started playing Zelda (twilight princess) on the wii I became obsessively addicted... to the point of consuming a day or two of vacation just to satisfy my need to play uninteruptedly for hours on end. sigh. In one instance I went through a pair of batteries in one day... and could barely move my arm. I had to force myself to stop playing and then I managed to give myself the "you can only play after 10:30 pm and it has to be off by 1 am" rule which I managed to follow. We need to parent ourselves! ;-)

While I liked Twilight Princess, it just didn't have the old Ocarina magic for me. The puzzles seemed to be odd or simple. I may need to play through again, but I'd love to see an Ocarina caliber Zelda title again.

Twilight Princess was fantastic, but it really is time for the series to evolve in some ways. One such way would be to add actual dialog.

It would be very cool if they made dialogue in a sort of Fallout 3 way in which u could be a prick or a nice guy.

Make a good guy or bad guy for Zelda.

Yeah that would be cool.

Jeff,

I believe James Cameron said he was going to begin working on BD versions of The Abyss and True Lies this year. Do you think they'll be able to get those finished and pressed in time to coincide with Avatar's Special Edition release in November?

I would say that the likelyhood of seeing Cameron films in time for Christmas is high.

Excellent. I am incredibly anxious to see True Lies in its OAR. Hard to believe that never even got an anamorphic dvd release in the US.

True Lies was going to be a "5-star collection" title. Then 9/11 hit and it got derailed.

Van Ling said that an anamorphic transfer of the Abyss was done long ago. How come it never even got a dvd re-release let alone a bluray release?

Does cameron ALWAYS have to be involved?
