Has anyone's deepdiscount orders shipped? I regret going through them and not Amazon or Walmart because I would at least know where my order was or the status. Deepdiscount shows nothing

I went through two LG players that did this. It happens to larger capacity BDs more easily (three layer). After seeing many similar reviews for regular priced UHD players from other brands I was pretty disappointed in the state of the industry. How can I encourage UHDs for my friends and family when I had to buy a high-end Panasonic player just to avoid this problem and have a user experience better than streaming. The UB9000 has the same price as an M3 MacBook Air.

Yeah, but it runs cooler, performs more reliably, and will last longer.

I was at Barnes and Nobles and asked one of the salespersons there about the Cameron films on UHD and if they sold out and she replied that they never came to the warehouse.

My disney movie club pre-order of the abyss (along with aliens and true lies) also has not shipped. I ordered several weeks ago. customer service said thsy had just received stock today. I definitely do not have a lot of confidence in that information though. Ever since they announced that they are closing, the customer service experience has gone down into the abyss

seems like I kinda lucked out with Target--

I ordered all 3 titles on Saturday-- they have all shipped with eta's of Wednesday for TRUE LIES and THE ABYSS, and Thursday for ALIENS..

I'm getting a kick out of endless posts about how crappy these discs are... and yet they're selling like hotcakes!

I pre-ordered Aliens and Abyss on Jan 27 from Amazon Canada. No delivery/availability date. I think that was like a Day 1 pre-order. Things are definately getting unreliable for 4K movies, at least at Amazon. Luckily I live by the U.S. border. Gonna be making great use of my mailbox in Blaine, Washington.

That unreliable aspect is why I try to grab films early, I’m not comfortable waiting several months and potentially missing out (this was never a problem a few years ago).

That’s why I pre-ordered. Like, on Day 1. I don’t know how else to better ensure getting a copy. I guess I could sign up for Amazon Prime. lol.

Likewise! They shouldn’t take pre-orders if they won’t actually end up getting what they ordered from the distributor.

While I agree I wouldn't call it a "disaster", I understand the frustration. A lot of people have been waiting patiently for this for years, and when it's supposed to finally be in your hands, THEN they tell you it's delayed? Absolutely frustrating.

I think a lot of people are getting sick of the "Amazon Experience". Order something, supposed to receive it the next day, and then next day all you get is "It's running late...". Then don't promise t to the customer unless you are SURE it can get there. I order quite a bit from Amazon (40+ orders per month), and at least 5 or 6 every month are delayed. So the frustration of this latest is just added onto a shoppers already growing frustration.

Amazon sets rules for 3rd Party Sellers. Deliver it on time, or the customer can ask for a refund AND keep the item when it shows up. They just don't play by the rules they set.

i'm fine w the delay, but a big +1 to amazon shenanigans. it's what people warned about when competition ceases to exist. amazon can literally do what they want at this point as there aren't great alternatives. i still pay prime for prime because i order SO much but it's to the point where if i order i just expect it to arrive when ever it arrives. but if there are things i know i NEED at a certain time i likely won't buy it from amazon because of this.
